Me too. Measured by miles, hours or number of rides, most of my rides are commuting. It makes sense to me that my best bike is the one I use most.
An '06 Trek Portland is therefore, my main ride. It's fast, comfortable, and refined. It carries stupid heavy loads like they weren't even there, and it laughs off rain, snow and ice (when wearing its studded snow tires). I like this bike so much that I'm packing it up and taking it on vacation (twice) this summer. It's also my preferred ride for centuries.
My second bike is also a road bike, a Y2K Trek 1000. This one is fast, frisky and eager to please. Roughly 15% of my miles to date in 2008 are on it. It's not as comfortable as the Portland, (it rides hard) and it really detests having to carry more than 15 or 20 pounds on the rack. Although it's heavier than the Portland, it's got plenty of scoot, climbs like a goat and always loves when I ride it hard.
