I was all prepared for a 30 mi ride today...looking to get warmed up and loose.
Mounted up and was in pain before I got to the the end of the block.

Apparently the short commute (3 mi) I had yesterday coupled with the HOT HUMID weather and cotton underwear was not good for crotch health. Didn't notice any tenderness when using the chamois butt'r, but knew I was SOL the moment I started pedaling.

I didn't want to just tough it out with an event coming up.
(Whining commences)

CRAP! Sundays are the ONLY days I get to ride for any distance!
I've got a ride in Paris TX coming up next Saturday, and (due to other troubles) have already scaled back the distance I was shooting for (70K)...now I won't have much in the way of mileage before the ride!
I'm driving out there and spending the night and may only wind up riding the 9 mile route.
WAAAH!

(whining stops)

At least, if I only do the 9 miles, I'll be riding with my Spousal Unit (just beginning and her first ride).
The Tour De Paris was to be my chance at a (relatively) flat course wherein I could rack up some mileage without undue wear and tear.
