I suspect the price has more to do with their "vintagyness" than just the length, good luck getting anything close tpo that with those 165 105s. In the heat of the bidding, I have sometimes gotten carried away and spent more than I should have, like $100 for some 170 Stronglight 93s. And as for your hypothysis, I have 170s on one fixie and 175s on my Schwin n Fixie, does that disprove your proof?
