hey if you're still in Boston and feel like biking you could stop by Landry's Cycle, where you can rent a bike for a day and go on historical guided bike tours around Boston. Renting and guided tours are pricey but much more worth it than bus tours. Alternatively, you could rent a bike and take yourself on a tour as they'll give you a free map with routes, but you'll have to do without the historical bit.
