Thank you very much for your responses.We would very much like to crreate our own itinerary. Our group is made up of some very experienced [fast] cyclists that are not interested in visiting vineyards along the ride. Our thought was to ride in the morning and sight see in the afternoon. Our wives are anxious to shop, taste wine,and have long lunches. We hope to join them when finished.
Any more suggestions in regard routes will be thankfully received. However,all advise on shopping will fall on deaf ears.[kidding]
