I refurbished my 1975 Orange U08 earlier this year. I bought it new my sophmore year of college after my Schwinn Continental was stolen. The U08 had the usual upgrades that I performed on the bike back in 1975: alloy bars, alloy seat post, and alloy rims. I put an alloy cotterless crank on it a couple of years later. I really like the headbadge on the 1975, it is plastic, but it is a raised emblem, rather than a decal. I replaced the RD when the original Simplex disintegrated.

I need to get a set of tires, as the unhooked rims have given me a blow out within the first block.
