^^ Thanks for demystifying it all. I figured there would be a million little things that add to the time requirements, and it looks like that's the case.

And I have to admire the involvement in each step of the process, and the reluctance to farm things out--who'd have thought that framebuilders and surgeons would have something in common?

I think at the end of the day, though, I would be too impatient to wait that long. Especially after a half-day fit session, meetings on paint schemes, etc. etc. --I'd be too damn excited to wait 5 years for it to show up!

But I've never seen a thread on here from a new Vanilla owner who thought it wasn't worth the wait... So maybe I'll come around someday.
