Help ID Campy Drops on a vintage Colnago?

I am on a quest to date a Colnago Super that I am currently building. Most feedback has pointed to late 70's early 80's. This weekend, a mechanic was looking at the frame and said that Campy only made the specific drops for a few years. Here are the details as best I can describe them:

On the rear drops, there are two small holes, approx 2 mm, one towards the top and one towards the bottom. Could this have been an innovation that didn't take off? Some unusual departure from the classic style? I have no idea. Campy Only has historic catalogs but I couldn't tell from the pics if there were holes in the drops.

Any input would be great. Thanks a bunch.
