To each his own -- everybody has different tastes, and thank goodness, otherwise this would be a very boring world.

Sure there are people who think because they're riding the latest (cf) or the rarest (custom) or the most expensive (whatever) that they're better than everybody else. They're not -- they're worse -- they're idiots! You have a behavioral disorder if you crave being better than others, especially if the others are strangers.

Just go out and enjoy what brings you pleasure -- your bike, and riding. If it's one-upping strangers, you need help pal.
