And the only way around this is to squeeze the tyre sideways and inspect the gap between tyre and rim all the way around the tyre on both sides. Many people people don't do this and end up with blow-outs soon after and think they had a defective tyre or tube.
It's not any easier or harder with plastic or steel, it's just those trying to sound like they know what their talking about. I just read and laugh along with you at some of these reponses!
