your testicles can be damaged from the cold and are designed to move in and out of the body as needed to regulate their temperature. But Mr. Lizard should only shrink do to the contracting nature of cold temperaturs. I don't think there's a mechanism for said lizard to hibernate. In other words, shrink is okay, but if it reacted like testicles, i'd go see a doctor.
