That's kind of a hard question. The ideal person to answer it is the person who has bought several different cruiser bikes in that price range and put a lot of miles on each. The problem is that very few people do this.

I've got a Worksman cruiser that I like. But it's over that price range and may be over your weight (I have no clue what it weighs- it's not light, though).

I've seen some Caloi cruisers that sound neat, but haven't seen one in person or talked to anyone that owned them. But the neat thing is they are available in some larger frame sizes:
