Unless you can really feel the difference or have carbon rims I say BS to your SwissStop recommendation. The are 4 times the cost of Kool-Stop and do not last any longer. They have the same need to be toed in like Kool-Stops.

I do agree the 35 mph even 40 mph is not rocketing at all. Perhaps once the OP gets accustomed to good braking performance and learns good technique he will strive to descend at the double-nickel.

That said, I used Kool-Stop for carbon rims and switched all of those brakes over to SwissStop for better modulation (note I did not say stopping power). Every other bike Kool-Stops work just as well at a fraction of the cost.
