Know what you mean. I hate a job that requires mandatory OT on the weekends. Weekends are mine.............................. for riding!
Get some lights and ride at night after work. Sounds scary at first but actually really nice and peaceful!
I use a red blinkie taillight, two headlights (inexpesive models) and reflectorized ankle bands.
