I took my bike to the Bordeaux region last fall. .Nearby Bordeaux, our experience is it was flat. We did a loop about the Park Regional des Landes de Garsogne. Stop by the Eglise Notre Dame des Cyclistes east of Mont de Marsan. A church dedicated to cyclists with TDF jerseys decorating the wall. At the nearby town of Labaside there are very active cycing clubs which sponsor bike races/ tours several days a week. / Want a less flat ride. Put your bike on the train and go to the Garsconne. Slightly hilly and great wine country. Another nearby region for great cycling, the Dordogne region about Perigueux. The photo below of the Eglise - Notre Dame des cyclistes at Labastide.
