Someone asked me about Soma frames this morning. I don't
know much about them but www.americancyclery.com in San
Francisco has some kind of arrangment with Soma, which is
an American company located in SF and has its frames made
to specs in Taiwan apparently.

then hit Soma. There is a brief description there of Soma
and there is a link to Soma's website.
