The TV news update is not yet linked, but tonight they seemed to imply the dead cyclist might be at fault because he May not have had lights? This even though the cyclist was on the shoulder of the road and some even believe the cyclist may have been walking the bike.
The Mom of the cyclist posted on the Star Bulletin Newspaper site.

A couple of things ... First, if there another way to the North Shore other than this highway? I don't really think so. Second, I teach at the school where this "dumb kid" just graduated. He was a charismatic young man who had many hopes, dreams, & aspirations. I doubt seriously that dying because he had no other way home was one of them. His job was providing him a way to afford to go to school. He was being responsible for himself and his commitments. This is a tragedy and your comments are deplorable.
Assuming these people are telling the truth.
