I can sooooo relate. I went to the LBS for some fit issues and the guy helping me suggested a shorter stem. When he said that the cost for the part and the installation was $40 my jaw about hit the floor. He saw the look on my face and started apologizing for not being able to find a cheaper part. I had to stop him to let him know that I thought it was a great price and I'll take it thank you very much.

But yeah, cycling is definately addictive. My only issue is coming up with routes that are long enough for me to get my fix, but are still safe/I won't get lost/etc.
