Icebreaker Stank

I own a few icebreaker t-shirts and socks. I bought this stuff because its good for wicking and for not getting stinky. Well it works fine for wicking out sweat on not smelling bad for a few days of not washing BUT, when these shirts get wet from the sweat the wool smells pretty damn bad. It smells like this after a washing. I've read this is normal for wool. I'm just wondering if there is a way or if anybody here has any tips on toning down the wet wool smell.
