For me, on roads like this it's all about sight lines, traffic volume, and will to live. If I had to ride that road, I would mount wide tires and ride the shoulder wherever I would be a surprise to fast traffic whipping around a tight curve. On straights and going into curves I'd probably take the lane, enjoy the beautiful scenery and give the logging trucks a break by hitting the shoulder whenever safe and reasonably convenient.
