First time I've heard someone say that ... Chris K. of Velo Orange is a great guy in my experience. He gave me nothing but good customer service and good advice, more of both than I deserved since I didn't buy that much and I was probably an annoying customer (bought wrong thing, needed to exchange for something out of stock, etc.).

That said, I have a Park CCP-1 (got it used from bikeville.com) and I like having something with a handle, not like the TA crank tools that you turn with a wrench. No doubt I would slip and scratch the bike.
