You can unbolt the suicide levers and hacksaw or dremel the pivot flush with the lever body. It's possible to do a nice clean job in under 10 minutes.

Anyone know what color housing they came with? They don't make gold that I know of, but it would match the lug striping. I think gold would work, adding color while not being over the top.
