Sure. Performance and others sell kits. But yes, spacers, and the normal cassette lockring. You end up with a freewheeling single speed, not a fixed gear - and most hear run fixed. That's why the answers above.

Surly makes an adapter that replaces the freehub freewheeling assembly, and a coworker of my uses one. They are expensive (~ $100) but in his case he uses it on a spinergy carbon wheels so he has no choice.

but for that wheel it makes no sense.
