As far as climate goes, it's a marine climate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oceanic_climate. Mild winters (don't recall having seen snow in the past few years), mild summers, lot of rain. No real extremes in weather. Generally pretty pleasant conditions for a bicyclist.
