seriously, it's a rolling parade, and kids love it. they clap, cheer, and enjoy the sights/sounds of all those bells going off. every cyclist you see in it has a smile on their face. (well until they get run over..)
and if it makes the kiddies happy, then it makes me happy too. ever seen a child smile/wave at a presedential motrocade? me neither.
Really? Last CM ride I was on a rider got clotheslined by some guy standing on the side walk, had to get ambulance as far as I heard. Later in the ride 2 ppl were attacked by a homeless man while they were plugging the intersection. That was my last CM, over it.
