i like this idea if you really want to help the guy out and if it applies to you (you are the original buyer and whatnot). he would cover any and all shipping charges and you would just take some time to do the legwork to warranty the frame. if the manufacturer doesn't honor the warranty then the guy is SOL. i definitely would not feel obligated to do this, only do it out of general kindness.
