I did 30-0mph in about 3 or 4 layers of skin once (I call it 'flesh-brakes'). Was cherry red from my elbows almost to my wrists. Rear tire slipped out from under me on asphalt. Tried to sit up before I stopped sliding, propped myself up on the only part of my body with bare skin.
