Another problem with the above statement is that we have to turn to cops for our justice in order to cover our own asses. Yes, I have had many run-ins with police that fail or refuse to assist me. IF I took it upon myself to create the justice I feel I deserve when some dick runs me off the road for riding my bike to work I know the police would be knockin on my door and hauling me away. (even if i didnt harm any human being physically)

IF cops want my respect they should provide every person who feels they need the police with the same respect and uphold EVERY law, not just the ones they feel like at that time.
I get where the police come from, but I also know that if they were willing to help me on the several occasions that I needed them to do SOMETHING I would not despise their presence.

I will continue to call on the police when I have a legal issue which they are supposed to help me with; until I get consistant results with them actually upholding the law I will continue to dislike the police.
