You guys have to be kidding about cops being underpaid right? A local paper prints the salaries of city employees annually (thank you FOIA) and inveriably the top end is loaded with cops making well over 100k (a very nice salary in Central Mass). And it's not just high ranking officers, but sargeants and patrolmen as well.
Err...that's Mass. NYC it's barely 30k, hence why it's the easiest academy to get into and caters to the roided ex-jock types.
