i have a mavic ma-40 rear wheel with a fixed/fixed hub that i got on craigslist for 50 bucks. and i got a cheap alex rim for my front wheel. if you are going to use a single ring, the 117mm bottom bracket might be a bit too long. as for a crankset, i used sugino xd from ebay. i had a specialized 109mm bottom bracket and i ran into issues. i also tried a sugino 115mm spindle was a bit too long and offset the chain by 2-3mm. i had to put the chainring on the inside of the crankarm spider. i had to mod the nondrive crankarm for my 109mm to work well. (109mm is what i am using now). so i would think a 110-113 would be perfect.

also...this was my first fixed gear build...and pretty much first bike i ever worked on. so i was learning while i was building.
