OK, a few points. Klein was welcomed into Trek for his technology in aluminum. ZR9000, or Red Aluminum as its called from '08 models and beyond was his technology. Awesome and innovative but Klein didnt have the market power to be successful. Trek offered to buy him out and bring him in. Sounds like a good deal to me. His bikes are still out there, they have a Trek name on em.

[Insider sneek peek: keep your eyes peeled all you Klein Lovers, something tells me a road bike line might be resurrected]

As for all the haters on Trek,.......OH SHUT UP ITS GETTING OLD.

Trek=largest and most successful bike company ever, PERIOD.

As for the dealer's point of view, as a purchaser for a major Trek account I can tell you I wish I could get ALL my product from them. Easy ordering, usually always available, easy Backordering process, free shipping on almost all my major orders (keeps my profits up), oh yea and they make a pretty sweet bike. Not to mention all the OCLV bikes are made in the USA in Waterloo, Wisc. That till never change as long as the Burke family controls the company. That was the late Dick Burke's vision of the company. (He founded the company)

So, go suck a D haters

BTW I LOVE MY MADONE! But I respect the other bikes for what they are. There really isnt a bad bike out there, barring a few glaring exceptions. (big box store bikes anyone?) I have ridden a Specialized and a Cervelo and liked em both, but they didnt fit my needs. Plus the discount I got makes it much easier for this student to ride a nice bike.
