I have a cool old mountain bike (91 or 92) with no suspension, that is indestructable. I just bought a Novara Randonee. I love it. Commuting duty for now, tour next summer. I thought the two of them would cover all my biking needs. Then my wife got a Trek 2.1. Man, that aluminum bike with carbon forks and seat stays weighs about half of what my Randonee does. Got me thinkin about a fast road bike.... Cash all gone though.
