Yeah, the kid has something to do with it, I think--I've had a lot of realizing-my-mortality moments since the news came...
My work is another thing, though. I've just seen folks get really messed up at some local bike races. At one crit last year there were 7 ambulance runs for cats 3-5. It's fun, but I have a hard time justifying the risk.
