The problem is how stupid/violent motorists are getting. The whole road rage thing is just getting out o control, and motorists don't care how good/experienced a group of cyclists are if they're in the way. Not sure what the answer is, but in recent years it seems smarter and smarter not to provoke motorists if you can avoid it. Dead and right is still dead.
