Sounds as if someone needs to sit around with a Uniglide hub, seven or eight cogs, and a box of assorted 7, 8 and 9-speed spacers. Don't forget the Shimano Centeron pulley wheel either.
I've got one machine in the works here with a pair of D/A 8-speed barcons and an SR RD on it - might be time for a bit of experimenting when I get around to it. Didn't care for the idea of running a Shimano RD on it either...
