I've recently gotten back into cycling after a 15y hiatus (I was a roadie way back). I bought myself a Giant FCR2. I've only been out a few times but notice the difference between gears seems a little much and sometimes have a hard time finding a comfortable gear. The stock cassette is 9 spd and goes from 11-28T.

Is this only an issue because I'm out of shape (and maybe an inherent whiner) or is it a valid concern that will grow as I get more experience?
