CBR BAR Finale

Hello,

Raced the Masters 50+ and Master 40+ 1-3 yesterday. First "real" races since Manhattan Beach and also first real races since getting the flu almost 3 weeks ago. I will say that I was kind of uncertain about my fitness because of the flu.

Went off the front of the 50+ race a few times with the biggest effort being a flyer just as we got 3 to go. Another guy was already up the road (he had just won a prime). I caught him and went by but I slowed abit so that he could get my wheel as I knew I couldn't hold off the field by myself. Unfortunately he seemed kind of cooked after his effort to win the prime. Worked with him for 1-1/2 laps and when the field caught us I was cooked.

I was barely hanging on the back when we got the bell and then I dropped off going into turn 3. Rolled across the line.

The 40+ race was pretty much just for training for me. Groupetto was in this race and I stayed near him for much of the race. Good to know someone who is a steady wheel. I never saw the front but there were some efforts when someone had the pack strung out and when people started falling off the back. Fortunately I had enough to close gaps. Sat up after we got through turn 3 on the last lap and rolled across the line.

Total of 41 miles of racing at about 26 MPH average.

Didn't meet or greet any other BF folks yesterday.
