I'm still trying to get away for a long weekend to do Onion Valley. I've done Horseshoe, Portal and White Mtn. Reds Meadows is nice and short, close to Mammoth the climb to Mosquito Flats up Rock Creek from Tom's place is a 9 mile killer
If I understand correctly, wasn't that the part was was cut out of Everest Challenge last year because of the weather? I may have to do that just to get a feel for it.
