*Custom-built frame

I have ridden steel, aluminum, and titanium frames. I have used French, Japanese, and Italian components. Yet, I have become comfortable with custom-built American frames and Campagnolo Record. I have always wanted, and still want, a Colnago (w/Record, of course).
Purchasing power will oft-times trump comfort level.....

Here is my progression:

1985 Gitane/Simplex - then Asian/Campy/Mavic mishmash as stuff wore out - and it wore out fast
1990 Bianchi/Asian mishmash and hand-me-downs with Mavic cranks
1996 Bianchi/Centaur
2001 Look/Centaur/Record - with shifters/cassette/derailuer replaced by Voloce as things wore out
