The only "pay to ride" ride that I do is a local century ride that I helped along in its early days. I pay my $'s ($20, I think) and then ride the roads that I normally ride for free, but I take a "free" Coke or two along the way. I figure that it is a donation to the local club, but I don't report it as such to the IRS.
