I have a 2000 model, the black/white one. I have used it for 8 years of commuting, and it is still going strong.
Fits me like a glove(55cm). I switched to bar end shifters when the STI's wore out, added fenders and 700x28C Panaracer Pasela TG. I have needed to replace the headset, bars, seat clamp. Other than that, it just keeps on going.
