I know nothing about that specific model, but given my professional experience, I'd put money it being discontinued because it didn't sell well enough. Litespeed has gone through great organizational change after substantial capital investment a few years ago. They are now operating like a "modern" company where revenues and the bottom line are watched very carefully. If a product isn't moving, it is removed from the product line. There may well be other reasons, but without specific knowledge of another, that is very often the case. In other words, and to read between the lines of your query, it was probably not discontinued b/c of reliability or performance problems with that particular model.
