Battaglin Giro history ask...

Hello,
Can anyone tell me a little bit about the age and history of a second hand bike that I've just purchased today?
I don't know much about that brand so, this is what I know:

The seat is a Arius gran carrera special (dark beige or light brown) leather.
The gear sytem is a Simplex
The tyres are : vittoria georgia 22
The wheels : Nisi HR22
The steering item (in french whe say "guidon") have on one side "cyclo man" and "mod Rover"on the other.
the "plateau" is a 52.
The speeds : 12.
The brakes system : corso.
the two forks are chromed.
On the rear fork, left side : battaglin giro.

I purchased it on eBay for 28€ or +- $35, so I don't mind if it's an old thing. however, the tyres and brakes look new and original, and, in general, it looks like that bike spend a lot of years in a attick, it's very clean, and seems that it mades less than 100 miles in is live.
I was only looking for a big framed (this one is a 62 cm, I am 190cm) bike to ride some times to work.

I also saw another battaglin giro on this forum but it have some differencies.
There are no "columbus" marks one mine.
Excuse my orthograph and have a nice day,
Jean-Louis (bibelot) from Brussels, Belgium
