Yeah, seems like helmet Nazis are common around here. I went riding with my brother and his friend in San Diego. The friend showed up without a helmet and the whole ride I was worried about confrontation with the helmet Nazis. It never happend. So I think it's a local thing. Helmet use % is WAY higher here than it was in San Diego (or most other places I've been). Frankly I don't like it one bit.
