He's thinking of only one of two possible things: Does he want to or not. If yes, that's pretty much what he'll think of the rest of the time.
Guys are literal, rarely subtle in thought.
According to some of my female friends, you'd be surprised how many women think this way too...except the tool part...they are thinking about that too.
