Yep, per the SheldonBrown catalog page it sure does fit with the '87 model. With it being a 10-speed it threw me off into thinking it was from the 70's or so. Also interesting that the catalog page states the bike is tapped for a third chainring, I'll have to go take a look. If it is I might have to add one and make this bike the B.O.B. hauler. Thanks for the input.
