i bought a spare tube for my bike the other day and realized i got a 700x35 tube for my 700x23 tire. will this tube work in my tire or should i go get the correct size? i have put smaller tubes into larger tires with little problem before, but never a larger tube in a smaller tire.

while i am on the subject, i am using this bike for my 7-mile commute to work. when i get around to new tires, should i get some slightly wider tires like 35s to handle rough roads?
