Assuming the centuries are relatively flat, then you may be fine with the Vitesse. What gear range does it have? I might be good to install a smaller cog at the back to get higher gearing for the faster speed; investing in some good tyres for such will also make a big diference. Make sure your handlebars, grips, saddle and pedals are good for it too. Dropping off as much excess weight as possible for long rides is a good idea too.
