Let's not let the thread derail too much. It just irked me that someone forgot the unspoken "if you can't say something constructive, don't say anything" rule understood by most internet users (except YouTube commenters).
I agree that the bars on that particular bike (the green one) are too high and too wide, and that the cable routing is funky, but I think there are kinder, more helpful ways to point that out; ways that can be helpful and inclusive, and further someone's interest in cycling, rather than catty and snide. Remember, it's not a contest, it's an activity we all share an interest in. Also, keep in mind that the level of mechanical experience is generally pretty low in this thread--there's nothing wrong with someone assembling a bike as delivered, then making changes as they gain knowledge, tools, and experience.
So, let's all take a deep breath and refocus on having fun with bikes. Feel free to tell me how lame my bike is, too.
