Shame about the DMR. I didn't know you get them over there. Genuine UK frames ...OK Taiwanese frames from a UK company, but nice. I have a Switchback, about to be rebuilt when the Vanillas come back hopefully creak free...

I run flats for everything. I have a vague idea to do an XC race in them, partly to see if I can & partly because there's a good chance of it annoying people with no sense of humour...

Back to DMR, V12 pedals & 5-10 shoes give awesome levels of grip. I noticed someone asking about feet slipping - a big thing is to relax when riding. Tense up & you'll come off any pedals. Even with SPDs, if you're tense you'll crash (maybe still attached to the bike...)
